A smooth, rich coffee with a caramel finish, this blend comes from the Yachil Xojobal Chulchan ("New Light in the Sky" in English) autonomous cooperative based in the Zapatista community of Santa Catarina of the Mayan Highlands of Chiapas, Mexico. Proceeds from the sale of this coffee will go to Brewing Hope, a student run organization at the University of Michigan working to spread the word about the importance of fair trade and indigenous rights.
