Persatuan Petani Kopi Gayo Organik (PPKGO)/ approx. 1400 farming families from the largely indigenous Aceh region of Northern Sumatra, the largest island in Indonesia West of Singapore and Northwest of Java.

Altitude/Coffee Species:

3,000 - 4,000 feet/Arabica varieties of Typica.

Comprised of 6 local ethnic and religous groups, PPKGO is a model for cooperation in the face of seemingly ceaseless war among different religious and ethnic groups.
