The Good Food Awards celebrate the kind of food we all want to eat: tasty, authentic and responsibly produced. In its seventh year, Good Food Awards named our Ethiopian Yirgacheffe Idido one of the 25 best coffees in America.
This delicate-bodied coffee, with fresh notes of lemon and bergamot, is a standout among our Apex Series. Purchased directly from the Idido Cooperative (members of the Yirgacheffe Coffee Farmers Cooperative Union) this washed coffee represents some of the best coffee in southern Ethiopia. YCFCU proactively promotes sustainability and quality practices, paying premiums to farmers based on coffee grade. A temperate climate at 1750-2300 meters produces a distinct top quality bean, grown alongside bananas and maize within a forest canopy.
